Blazing Saddles Competition
Cycling - a great way to get fit in good company.
The trophy is presented to the rider who rides on the most of our organised rides during the year.
For those that care for details only those rides included on our published/printed rides lists will count towards the trophy. Each ride ridden counts as one point towards the trophy. To count as a ride, a rider must ride a reasonable segment of the route and be listed in the leaders ride report. The first ride of the "year" is always the Christmas Lunch ride. This ride is the occasion when the previous years awards are presented and the day the counts are restarted. Only CTC members are eligable to receive the trophy. Please remember that this local competition is intended to add interest to the rides!

Congratulations again to Alan Baxter for completing his hat trick, and completing over a hundred rides in doing so.
Also to Christina Mead for winning a close battle for the Ladies, and Luke Peters for the Juniors.
Also Ben Walker for acheiving 3rd Place in the National CTC Touring Competition for Juniors.
2009 has been a better year for participants, back up to our usual average, made up by a lot of new riders.
This is my last report as Alan is taking over for next year.
Best wishes
Bob
