Ride Grades
Cycling - a great way to get fit in good company.
We grade our rides to give you an at-a-glance idea of whether the ride is suitable for you. The codes are listed in the table below.
For example a ride graded
D1
will be a 15-20 mile ride with some easy off road and one graded A(100) will be a fast road ride covering 100 miles.
| Grade code | Explanation |
|---|---|
| A (n) | Long ride at faster pace of 56 miles or more (number of miles) |
| B | Average ride at moderate pace of 40 to 55 miles. |
| C | Shorter ride at slower pace of 25 to 39 miles. |
| D | Short ride at slower pace of 15 to 24 miles. |

* Helmets We leave it up to you but our off-road ride leaders feel that they are essential for off-road rides. If a ride leader requests it then this symbol is added to the information about the ride.
